Correct handiling
Guide the edge along the sharpening steel at an angle of 15°-20° in turn left and right.

Sharpening steel cuts
Depending on the cut of the sharpening steels, a certain surface roughness will be obtained in the cutting edge that is being sharpened. Depending on the purpose for which the knife is ought to be used you may want your cutting edge to be either smooth or rough.

Maintenance
Sharpening steels are suitable for cleaning in sterilisers up to 248°F. We suggest a prompt cleaning with a mild alkaline basic detergent without acids.

Every Dick sharpening steel has been designed for its particular application. The latest production technologies guarantee long lasting and wear resistant use. The special handles ensure a safe grip.
